Decide what kind of session you want

Possibilities include:

• Studio Only: $35 session fee (required for yearbook photo)
• Studio and Outdoor: $45 session fee. Venues include:
  • Local park
  • Town or City (add $30 for downtown Pittsburgh)
  • Your backyard

The best lighting for outdoor sessions is either morning (between 8:00-10:00 AM) or evening (between 5:00-7:00 PM). We will work with you to schedule your session during those hours.

Arrive prepared for your session

Arrive for your session with the following:

• Session fee (check or cash only)
• Formal yearbook outfit (suit & tie for guys, simple but dressy for girls)
• Multiple outfits (no limit)
• Props (uniforms or sports accessories, musical instrument, favorite book, item related to hobby, even your pet!)
• Brush, make-up for touch-ups as needed

Expect your photo session to last from 45 minutes for a Studio-Only session, to two hours for a Studio and Outdoor session. While you're there, you'll be able to preview your photos and flag your favorites.

Receive email announcing your photos are ready

Within about a week, you'll receive an email with a link to your gallery online at www.jaophoto.com. A few of your best photos are shown as samples in a public gallery but all of your photos are available for viewing in a private gallery that is password-protected for your privacy. Your password is included in the announcement email.

Choose a yearbook photo and notify us by email

Browse through your photos and select one of the formal studio shots for your yearbook photo. Contact us by email to indicate your choice. We will then edit and crop your selected photo per school requirements and send it to the school yearbook staff.

Note that the deadline for photos to be submitted for the Mt. Lebanon High School yearbook is usually in the month of October.

Order a print package and/or photo gifts

Choose any of the packages to order as high-quality prints. You may also choose additional A-la-carte items including photo books, DVDs, custom cards, graduation announcements, etc.

If you'd like something not listed, let us know. We're flexible!

Note that most of the photos in your private gallery are not edited yet. Don't worry; after you submit your order, we review the order and edit the photos before they are printed to ensure you receive the best quality images.

Receive prints in the mail.  Enjoy!

Expect to receive your photos within about 2-3 weeks from your order submission, depending on the complexity of your order.
